Balos Celtigar is the uncle of Lord Daemar Celtigar and the wielder of Crab's Pincer. A tall, strong man, he is the embodiment of Celtigar glory. Some have compared him to the likes of the Mountain and the Greatjon.
Character[]
Balos is a large man, strong and imposing. Some have thought of him as Gregor Clegane re-reborn, although with less of the brutish instincts of the dog. Balos is a bombastic, light-hearted man with a taste for violence and drink. However, his reckless behavior has risked his head several times during his life. He is good friends with his nephew, Lord Daemar. He appears strikingly younger than a man of his true age.
History[]
Balos was born in 324, to Lord Celtigar. At a young age he was already seen as a strong, tall beast of a man. During the War of the Shadow he first displayed his prominence in fighting. After the war, he was knighted for his valor in battle. Some commoners on Claw Isle believe Balos single handedly slew the great dragon Drogon, though these are clearly false.
During the War of the Seven Banners he fought in the Battle of Corpse Lake, where he lost his brother Cetos Celtigar in the fighting, but brutally slaughtered the Pentoshi who swarmed and killed his brother.
