House Blackmyre is a noble house from the north. They are crannogmen located in the Neck. They are often called the swamp-dwellers, the frog-eaters, the mud men, and to the ironborn, bog devils.
The current Lord is Tergon Blackmyre, Lord of Blackmyre and Phantom of the Myre.
Their words are "Hidden Within Sight."

House Blackmyre has ruled the changing location of Blackmyre since stories of its origin began. Due to the lack of maesters in the Neck, oral history takes predominance and as such recounts of history quickly become diminished into myths and legends, facts forgotten or exaggerated depending on the storyteller. As such, with the exception of the generations remembered in living memory, not much is known for certain about the ruling House and its people.
It is rumoured that the House was started by a member of another crannogman group after he and his hunting party became lost within the swamps of the Neck. Setting up a temporary camp until they gained their bearings, the group became the descendants of House Blackmyre.
Whether the original hunters were originally from House Reed, Fenn, Quagg or another group of crannogmen changes with each rendition of the tale however.
