House Broom is one of the principal houses sworn to House Lannister of Casterly Rock. Their seat of Castle Broom located southwest of Castamere, north of Oxcross, and east of Faircastle.
Their arms depict a silver helm crested with a sprig of broom on black and green checks. Their house words are "Steadfast and Loyal."
History[]
Before and During the Age of Heroes[]
House Broom is an ancient line, dating back to the days of the First Men and founded by a Roger Broom before the Age of Heroes.
House Broom was brought under Lannister rule during the Age of Heroes by King Loreon I Lannister, King of the Rock, after the King of the Rock defeated Roger II in a duel that supposedly lasted for two days and nights. After their defeat at the hands of King Loreon I, House Broom have served and continue to serve the Lannister loyally.
Robert's Rebellion[]
During Robert's Rebellion, Lord Axell Broom stayed neutral alongside his liege, Lord Tywin Lannister. He personally lead the Broom host after the defeat of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen at the Trident, and was present when the Sack of King's Landing took place. He was also present for the ascension of King Robert Baratheon.
War of the Five Kings[]
When Robb Stark rose in rebellion with his maternal family rising alongside him in the Riverlands, Lord Axell Broom and House Broom were part of the Lannister army that marched into the Riverlands. After the defeat at the battle in the Whispering Wood, Lord Axell escapes along with the remnants of the Broom host to Harrenhal alongside Lord Tywin's host.
Lord Axell was present and participated in the Battle of the Blackwater, where he and his host were part of the Lannister host that threw Stannis Baratheon back with the aid of the House Tyrell. Lord Axell was present in King's Landing during Lord Paramount Tywin's reign as Hand of the King, but returned to the his seat of Broomsfield after his death.
War of the Rock[]
During the War of the Rock, House Broom supported Tyrek Lannister from the start of the war and Lord Axell Broom lead the Broom host during the war.

The Second Era (303 - 380 AC)[]
Lord Roland Broom participated in the War of the Seven Banners, where he befriended Lord Kevan Crakehall. During the war he was nearly killed by a Pentoshi soldier during the invasion of Pentos, but he managed to kill the Pentoshi, but not before he did severe damage to his leg.
Recent Events (380 AC - Present)[]
House Broom was invited to the Oldtown Tournament, but did not attend.
