House Cassel is a minor house of the north in the service of the Starks of Winterfell. They blazon their arms with ten white wolf heads on grey with a black border.
History[]
Martyn Cassel was killed at the Tower of Joy in the Red Mountains of Dorne during a battle with three members of Aerys II Targaryen's Kingsguard. Lord Eddard Stark buried him there in a cairn.
Martyn fathered four sons, yet only Jory lived to be a man. Jory was among those who attended the wedding of Eddard and Catelyn Tully. In his attempt to remove the dress from Catelyn, he tore it.
Martyn's brother, Ser Rodrik Cassel, was married three times and had only daughters. His only surviving child is Beth.
