Lord Jon Flint is the current lord of Flint's Fingers. He has been ruling since the seventh moon of 380.
Early Life[]
Jon grew up comfortable at Flint's Fingers, located west of Moat Cailin. He enjoyed frequent training of swords with his father's master-at-arms, Ser Mayan. He learned diplomacy and stewarship from a very young age, and was sitting in on his father's court at the age of eleven. Eventually his father left him to rule while he spent his last days hunting and relaxing on the countryside. Jon the elder was in the process of abdicating the Lordship to his son, but died before he was able to formalize the succession.
Lord of Flint's Fingers[]
Shortly after his father died, Jon officially became Lord of his father's lands. His first act as lord was to travel to Winterfell to swear his oaths to the Lord Paramount, Rodrik Stark. However, upon reaching the castle, Jon was surprised to see that Rodrik was not there. Instead his younger brother, Rickard, was ruling in his stead. Instead of waiting, Jon swore his oaths to Rickard. Jon elected to stay in Winterfell for a while. In that time, Rodrik was named a traitor by the crown and law had passed all of his titles to Rickard. This put Jon in an interesting position, as he was the only person there who had actually sworn loyalty to the younger Stark.
The Great Northern Council[]
In the 7th moon of 380, Lord Rickard Stark called a northern council to address his brother's alleged treason. Jon was in attendance and was an adamant support of Rickard. Despite his efforts, the northern lords elected to back Rodrik. Jon is not a man to follow blindly into loyalties, so he decided to support Rodrik as well. When a vote was called at the end of the council, Jon chose Rodrik.
Discover His Talents[]
In the 9th moon of 380, Jon decided to test his talents at forgery. He crafted a letter and signed the Hand's name at the bottom. It was a test letter, seeing how weak Rickard was at leading, that called for the Lord of Winterfell to leave for King's Landing to swear fealty to the young king, Aenys.
