Rickon Ryswell was born in 360 to Lord Roger Ryswell and his Lady Wife. He is second in line to the Lordship of The Rills after his brother Cregard.
Appearance[]
Rickon is of average height. Like his father, he is healthy and has dark hair and dark eyes. Rickon keeps his hair medium length, and is often clean shaven - except for during a harsh winter.
History[]
Rickon was named after Rickon Stark, the brother of King Robb Stark.
Rickon entered the world as many babies do. Crying.
He was not a heavy baby, and for the first month of his life he was extremely sickly. The maester of The Rills informed lord Roger and Lady Janna that the new baby would likely die.
Lord and Lady Ryswell refused to let that happen, however and Rickon survived.
As a young boy, Rickon had an upbringing typical to the child of a lord. He learned swords as well as riding. When his lessons with the Maester began, Lord and Lady Ryswell were informed that Rickon was apparently having difficulty with his letters. The maester suggested extra lessons for him. Without his brother accompanying him, Rickon might be able to focus more. To this day, Rickon hates both reading and writing.
That time in his life is not one that Rickon has much memory of.
Rickon grew into a comely youth, and spent much of his time chasing girls and pestering his brother. Rickon was never as good a swordsman as his brother was, and Lord Ryswell would seemingly show favouritism towards Cregard, his heir. Rickon wanted to resent Cregard for this, but he never could. When he was 15 Rickon became a man at the hands of the daughter of the kennel master. Shortly after, The girl and her father were sent away by Lord Ryswell. Rickon began to pay for whores after this.
